Three Azerbaijani citizens put on international wanted list extradited from Russia

Three people put on the international wanted list have been extradited from Russia to Azerbaijan, Report news agency reported citing the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Thus, on the basis of the petition of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia decided to extradite citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shirin Mammadov, Teymur Guliyev and Yalchyn Ibadov to the country in accordance with the requirements of the Convention of 22.01.1993 “On legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal matters.

Shirin Mammadov is accused under articles 178.2.1, 178.2.3, 178.2.4 and 32.4, 312.1 of the Criminal Code (Fraud committed by a group of persons by prior agreement using their official position with causing significant damage), Teymur Guliyev under article 178.3.2 of the same of the Code (Fraud causing significant damage), Yalchyn Ibadov – under Article 182.1 of the same Code (Extortion under the threat of violence).

All three were detained on the territory of the Russian Federation and delivered to Azerbaijan on April 20, 2023, accompanied by a special escort of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
