A criminal case was initiated on the facts of financial violations in the Sumgayit Medical Center

A criminal case has been initiated in connection with financial violations at the Sumgayit Medical Center, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Based on the materials received from the Accounts Chamber on the facts of violation of the law in the field of management of state funds and other state property by the legal entity of public law “Sumgayit Medical Center”, an investigation was conducted in the Main Anti-Corruption Department under the Prosecutor General.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose of misappropriation and misappropriation by officials of funds allocated from the state budget for repair work in state medical institutions in the city of Sumgayit.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated in the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General under Articles 179.3.2 (misappropriation or embezzlement committed on a large scale), 308.1 (abuse of official powers) and 313 (forgery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a preliminary investigation is underway .
