A criminal case was opened on the fact of misappropriation of state property

Based on the appeal of citizens in connection with the violations revealed in the Children’s Art School of the Zagatala region, an investigation was conducted in the district prosecutor’s office, oxu.az reports.

Thus, in the course of the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that officials of the said educational institution had misappropriated state property on a large scale. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under articles 179.2.3 and 179.2.4 (misappropriation or embezzlement committed by a person using his official position with causing significant damage) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
