President signs pardon order

President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to pardon a number of convicts on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, Qafqazinfo reports with reference to the press service of the President.

According to the Decree, 801 convicts were pardoned, of which 463 people were released from punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty, 220 people – from half of the unserved part of the punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty, 118 people – from other punishments not related to deprivation of liberty (restriction of liberty, corrective labor , punishment in the form of a fine and persons sentenced to a suspended sentence).
