Smuggling of a large consignment of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan prevented

The smuggling of about 54 kg of drugs from Iran has been prevented, oxu.az reports with reference to the State Border Service.

Thus, on July 14, 2023, at 08:20 am, smuggling of drugs from Iran was prevented on the territory of the outpost of the Goradiz border detachment of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan, located near the village of Boyuk Bakhmanli, Fizuli region.

As a result of operational measures carried out at the border, 53 kg 700 g of marijuana were found and seized.

An investigation into this matter is ongoing.
