Joint operation of the Penitentiary Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) of Azerbaijan have carried out a joint operation to combat drugs, oxu.az reports citing the Penitentiary Service. As a result of joint operational activities, marijuana with a total weight of 482 g was found, which Ashrafaga Alizadeh, who was found guilty under Article 234.4.3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and is currently held in the Baku SIZO, hid in the territory of the Zabrat-1 village of the Sabunchu region.

The matter is under investigation.
