Gang members arrested for delivering more than 70 kg of drugs from Iran

Members of an organized group who delivered 73 kg of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan have been arrested, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of operational-search and operational-technical measures carried out on the territory of Baku, Naig Hajiyev (born 1987) and previously convicted Yusif Huseynov (born 1990) and Ramid Abdullayev (born 1985) were detained.

A total of 73 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from the suspects, including 21 kg of hard drugs, 4 kg of opium, 41 kg of dried marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances, 7 kg of methamphetamine, and 1,500 methadone tablets.

A criminal case has been initiated on this fact, a measure of restraint in the form of arrest has been chosen against the members of the gang, operational-search and investigative measures are ongoing.
