Another ex-“minister” of the separatists, David Babayan, was detained

The former so-called “Minister of Foreign Affairs” of the Karabakh separatist regime, David Babayan, has been detained, oxu.az reports with reference to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan.

“The investigation of criminal cases initiated by the prosecutor’s office of Azerbaijan on the commission of war crimes against peace and humanity by members of the Armenian armed formations against captured military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, civilians and other persons continues.

The investigation established that David Babayan, born in 1973 in the city of Khankendi and worked in 2013-2023 as “deputy chief of staff of the president, assistant to the president on foreign policy issues, minister of foreign affairs and assistant to the president for special assignments” of the separatist regime, during the 44- day of the Patriotic War and during the conduct of local anti-terrorism measures to restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and ensure the safety of the population, together with other “leading officials” of the separatist regime, he was engaged in activities that encouraged national discord and hatred, and also coordinated the actions of terrorist groups.
