Azerbaijan hosts the 3-rd Film Festival of the Turkic World “Korkut Ata”

The III Film Festival of the Turkic World “Korkut Ata” is being held in the cities of Baku and Shusha on October 8-11, oxu.az reports. The event was organized jointly by the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the Heydar Aliyev Center, the Cinema Agency, the media company Baku Media Center and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).

The purpose of the festival is to promote the unity of the Turkic world and cultural cooperation between Turkic peoples, promoting integration by creating a common audiovisual space with the participation of Turkic states.

The festival presents 32 feature, documentary and animated films produced by Azerbaijan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, as well as Gagauzia (Moldova), Tatarstan, Sakha-Yakutia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chuvashia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Tuva and Bashkortostan (Russian Federation). The films will be shown at the Nizami Cinema Center from October 9 to 11, 2023.
