An attempt to deliver almost 24 kg of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented

On October 14 at 00:45, smuggling of narcotic drugs from Iran was prevented on the official territory of the border outpost of the “Geytepe” border detachment of the border troops of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan (SBS), located near the village of Abdinli, Yardimli region, oxu.az reports with reference to the press center of the SBS.

Thus, as a result of border inspection and operational activities, 23 kg 962 g of narcotic drugs were discovered and seized (16 kg 704 g of marijuana, 4 kg 610 g of opium, 306 g of methamphetamine and 1,590 M-40 methadone tablets).

Operational and investigative measures on this fact are ongoing.
