More than a million manats of compensation were paid to those acquitted in the Terter case

The total amount of compensation paid to persons convicted in the “Terter case” and subsequently acquitted has become known, oxu.az reports with reference to lawyer Rasul Jafarov.

According to him, of those convicted in the Tartar case, a total of 54 people have been acquitted to date. The amount of compensation to be paid to 22 military personnel was 1,546,000 manats. In addition, six civilians acquitted in the same case were awarded compensation in the amount of 167,420 manats.

R. Jafarov noted that legal proceedings regarding the claim for compensation are currently ongoing.

It is noted that the Ministry of Finance is recognized as the defendant in all claims.
