In recent years, the number of lawyers in Azerbaijan has tripled. As reported by Oxu.Az, this was stated by the Chairman of the Bar Association, Anar Baghirov, during his speech at the “Iron Fist” intellectual competition in jurisprudence among students, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the birthday of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, held at organizational support of the structure.

According to A. Bagirov, there are about 2,500 lawyers in the country. “The number of lawyers together with candidates is approximately 3,000 people. About 300 candidates are waiting for the next stage of testing. We will organize the exam in March next year,” he said. A. Bagirov also touched upon the problems of young lawyers. “They need to be addressed. There is a special fund for this; we support young personnel,” said the chairman of the board.
