A criminal case on offenses in a municipality in Azerbaijan has been sent to court

The investigation of the criminal case initiated on April 19 in the Lankaran District Prosecutor’s Office based on information disseminated in the media about the illegal actions of the ex-chairman of the Lankaran Municipality Aygun Mirzoyeva has been completed. As Trend reports, information about this was disseminated by the Lankaran district prosecutor’s office.

“Due to the collected evidence, reasonable suspicions have been established that Aigun Mirzoyeva, while working in the above position, misappropriated a significant amount of municipal property and entered false data into official documents. She was finally charged under articles 179.2.3, 179.2.4 (embezzlement using official position and causing significant damage), 308.1 (abuse of official powers) and 313 (official fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
