A verdict was handed down in a bribery case against the ex-head of a medical institution

The trial of the former head of the department of the Lankaran City Interdistrict Psychiatric Hospital (GMPB), Nasreddin Nuriyev, has ended. As reported by oxu.az, at the trial in the Lankaran Court for Serious Crimes, N. Nuriyev was found guilty under Articles 311.1 (taking a bribe) and 313 (official forgery) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The court sentenced him to imprisonment for a term of four years and six months with deprivation of the right to occupy leadership and materially responsible positions for two years. The punishment was deemed suspended with a probationary period of one year.

It should be noted that as a result of operational-search activities carried out by the Main Anti-Corruption Directorate under the Prosecutor General on the basis of citizens’ appeals, the head of the Lankaran State Medical Bureau N. Nuriyev was detained
