About 7 tons of drugs were seized from illicit trafficking in Azerbaijan

In January-November of this year, 6 tons 719 kg of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances were seized from illicit trafficking in Azerbaijan, the total value of which is estimated at 269 million 290 thousand manats, Report informs, citing data from the permanent working group of the State Commission for Combating Drug Addiction and illegal drug trafficking.

Accordng to the data, law enforcement officials have identified 9,758 drug-related crimes since the beginning of the year: “3,158 of them are related to the illegal sale of drugs, 6,276 are related to their illegal acquisition and storage.”
