The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Migration Service held joint events in Baku to combat illegal migration

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the State Migration Service (SMS) held joint events in Baku to combat illegal migration, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is noted that a total of 11 foreign citizens were detained who were in Azerbaijan illegally, without the appropriate documents giving the right to stay or reside in the country.

During the investigation, it was established that the detained foreigners were deceived by their compatriots, who promised to provide them with illegal passage to European countries through the territory of Azerbaijan.
