Zahid Oruj applied to the CEC to register his candidacy for the post of President

Chairman of the Board of the Center for Social Research, deputy of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan Zahid Oruj officially applied to the Central Election Commission (CEC) to register as an independent candidate for the presidential elections in the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 7, 2024. According to Report, in accordance with legal requirements, the process began with the preparation of a preliminary notice and commitment documents.

After checking the documents for compliance with the law, the Central Election Commission will issue signature sheets in support of the candidacy.

It is noted that the candidate’s election headquarters has already been created, and steps have been taken to develop an appropriate action plan.
