Operation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Nakhchivan: a group importing counterfeit banknotes into the country was detained

Employees of the internal affairs bodies carried out an operational measure to suppress the production and release into circulation of counterfeit money, which poses a serious threat to the financial system of Azerbaijan, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Thus, as a result of complex operational measures, a group that secretly imported counterfeit dollar bills into the country was neutralized. According to the information, during the arrest of these persons, 10,000 counterfeit US dollars were seized and handed over to the investigation.

Operational measures to identify other members of the group are ongoing.
