The prosecutor requested 18 years in prison for the accused of treason

The judicial investigation into the case of Tarlan Abbasov, accused of high treason, has been completed, Report informs. At the trial, chaired by the judge of the Baku Court for Serious Crimes, Novruz Kerimov, prosecutor Elmin Mirzoyev made an indictment speech.

The prosecutor requested that Tarlan Abbasov be sentenced to 18 years in prison. The lawyer asked for time to prepare his defense.

The final court hearing is scheduled for January 18, 2024.

Tarlan Abbasov was charged under Article 274 of the Criminal Code.
