Drug courier detained with 18 kg of drugs

In the Yardimli district, police seized 18 kg of narcotic drugs and over 6 thousand tablets with a psychotropic substance from illegal circulation, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, employees of the Yardimli district police department detained a previously convicted Lankaran resident, Khalid Huseynov, on suspicion of illegal sale of narcotic drugs.

In total, more than 17 kg of marijuana, 1 kg of opium and 6,260 methadone tablets were confiscated from the detainee. During the investigation, it was established that Huseynov was involved in illegal activities by a drug dealer living abroad.

An investigation into this fact is being carried out at the Yardimli District Police Department.
