Judgement of the accused in the Tartar case has been announced

The trial of Major Generals Bekir Orujov, Intigam Mamedov, Rakhib Mamedov, Ziya Kazimov and Ulvi Rashidov, accused in the “Terter case”, has ended, oxu.az reports. At today’s meeting chaired by judge of the Baku Military Court Zeynal Agayev in the Sumgayit judicial complex, Z. Kazimov said the last word. He, like the other defendants, stated that he did not plead guilty.

After the court meeting, the verdict was announced, according to which B. Orujov was sentenced to 9 years and 6 months in prison.

The prosecutor asked to sentence B. Orujov and Z. Kazimov to 12 years and 6 months, I. Mamedov and U. Rashidov to 10 years and 6 months, and R. Mamedov to 8 years and 6 months in prison. Ziya Kazimov, who is under house arrest, was also brought to court from the medical institution where he was treated, based on the decision made at the previous trial. Due to his state of health, the court gave him time to prepare his last word.
