A Chinese citizen accused of murdering his compatriot in Baku has been sentenced

A sentence has been handed down to Chinese citizen Yuan Tiangang (born 1983), accused of murdering his compatriot Pan Yuan Liang (born 1975) in Baku, oxu.az reports with reference to Qaynarinfo.

The Baku Grave Crimes Court found the foreigner guilty of committing a crime under Article 126.3 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm resulting in the death of the victim through negligence) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan and sentenced him to nine years in prison.

According to Article 52.1, the accused was given an additional punishment in the form of forced deportation from the borders of the Republic of Azerbaijan (assigned to foreigners and stateless persons sentenced to imprisonment for a term of more than one year, and carried out after they have served the main sentence).

Yuan Tiangang pleaded not guilty to the incident in court.
