Last year, nine lawyers were suspended and 20 were reprimanded

In 2023, 20 lawyers were reprimanded and 9 were suspended based on complaints received by the Bar Association. This was reported by oxu.az with reference to the Azerbaijan Bar Association.

The board received 47 complaints and appeals from government bodies, 43 from non-governmental organizations and 128 from citizens. For 2022-2023 284 disciplinary proceedings were carried out, 117 violations were identified, no violations were identified in 37 proceedings, and 53 were not subject to assessment. Disciplinary proceedings on 46 complaints were terminated.
