The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned the population about cyber attacks

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (Ministry of Internal Affairs) of Azerbaijan addressed the population in connection with cyber attacks, reports oxu.az with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The department called on citizens to be vigilant on Internet resources and follow a number of rules.

“Do not provide callers from mobile and landline numbers with information about your bank cards, that is, the owner’s name, surname, card expiration date, CVV number and confirmation code (3D Secure), even if it is a bank employee,” the notice says.

The ministry also urged not to make an advance payment for an alleged “health certificate” upon employment, as well as for property or goods sold below cost without verification, not to believe promises of high payment for simple tasks on the Internet and offers from fake sites or accounts, do not go to dubious sites, be careful with sites created for phishing purposes that are similar to the domain names of well-known companies, do not make purchases from pages on social networks that you do not know and do not trust.

In such cases, it is recommended to immediately contact service 102 and the official accounts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on social networks.
