Ministry of Justice: more than 5,200 convicted citizens wear electronic bracelets in Azerbaijan

Currently, more than 5,200 convicted citizens wear electronic bracelets in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing information from an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Justice on the results of 2023.

At the meeting, it was recalled that in 2023, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree pardoning 801 prisoners, which became the largest act of pardon adopted in the history of independent Azerbaijan. The pardon was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev.
