790 int’l observers to monitor snap presidential elections in Azerbaijan

“One of the main demands in conducting the elections is ensuring the transparency,” Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov said in a press conference of Comission held today, APA reports.

The CEC Chairman noted that 90,272 observers have been registered: “790 of them are international observers. All of them are from reliable organizations. The observers are already here in full force. There are 266 observers from OSCE. There are observers from CIS and other institutions as well. The representatives of TURKPA are also participating here.”
