Smuggling of 11.7 kg of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan was prevented

The smuggling of drugs into the territory of Azerbaijan was prevented, APA reports citing the press center of the State Border Service.

According to the information, smuggling of drugs from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented on the territory of the “Horadiz” border detachment of the border troops of the State Border Service.

Abushov Elkhan, a resident of the Kurdamir district, born in 1967, was detained. During an inspection of the territory, 11 kilograms of 700 grams of marijuana were discovered and seized. An investigation is underway.
