Azerbaijani citizen arrested for financing international terrorism

The Sabail District Court of Baku has chosen a preventive measure in the form of arrest against Azerbaijani citizen Aliyev Yusif Sultan oglu in a criminal case initiated by the State Security Service. According to Report, he is accused of financing international terrorism.

Based on the charges brought against Yusif Aliyev, it was established that he, having created various closed groups on the social networks Telegram and WhatsApp, was collecting funds, which he then transferred to foreign countries in order to finance an international terrorist organization.

Yu. Aliyev is accused under Article 214-1 (financing of terrorism) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.
