Drug trafficking suspects detained

Employees of the Agsu district police department carried out operations to capture persons involved in the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the district, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, during the event, carried out on the basis of operational information, local resident Eyvaz Eyvazov, previously convicted of theft, was detained. During a personal inspection and search of his house, about 500 g of marijuana, which he stored in glass jars, was discovered and seized. During the investigation, it turned out that he obtained the drug from hemp bushes that he grew several years ago.

As a result of another operation, Nihad Aliyev, who is suspected of drug trafficking, was detained. During a personal search, he was found to have heroin and methamphetamine, which were presented to the investigation as evidence.

Based on these facts, criminal cases have been initiated and an investigation is underway.
