Detained with a large amount of drugs

In Yardimli, residents of a neighboring district were detained with a large batch of drugs, oxu.az reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Based on the information received, employees of the Yardimli district police department carried out an operation on the 39th kilometer of the Masalli – Yardimli road, during which residents of the Lankaran region Khayal Alizadeh and a previously convicted Valeh Akhmedov, who were driving a VAZ-2106 car, were detained and suspected of drug trafficking. During a search of the vehicle, a bag containing more than 15 kg of marijuana was found and seized. V.Akhmedov and Kh.Alizadeh were arrested.

An investigation into this fact is underway.
