21-year-old murder solved

A premeditated murder committed 21 years ago has been solved in Azerbaijan. As APA reports, this is stated in the joint information of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Reasonable suspicions were established that a resident of the village of Garadaglar, Kengerli district, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Halima Kerimova (born 1961), in the spring of 2003, during a dispute over a family quarrel, deliberately killed her husband Magomed Kerimov (born 1958), and then dumped body in a well in the courtyard of the house.

In the place indicated by Kh. Kerimova, fragments of human bones were found, which were seized and transferred to the laboratory and for examination.

Based on this fact, the Kengerli District Prosecutor’s Office opened a criminal case under Art. 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code, an investigation is underway.
