The serviceman acquitted in the Terter case will be paid compensation

Another one of the servicemen convicted in the Terter case and then acquitted will be paid compensation, oxu.az reports. The Nasimi District Court considered the claim of acquitted serviceman Turan Ibrahimli. The court decided to pay T. Ibrahimli compensation in the amount of 99,000 manats for moral damage caused to him during the 5 years he spent in prison. The defendant in the case is the Ministry of Finance. The funds must be deducted from the department and paid to the plaintiff.

The investigation into the Terter case was resumed in 2021. After this, on the proposal of the Prosecutor General, the cases of 19 people convicted of treason and other crimes were reviewed. As a result of the new trial, several military personnel were acquitted. One of them was Turan Ibrahimli, sentenced to 9 years in prison.
