12 people were detained for drug trafficking in Azerbaijan, 46 kg of drugs were discovered

During the activities carried out in recent days by employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to detain persons involved in drug trafficking in Baku and the regions of Azerbaijan, 12 people were detained. As APA reports, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this.

In total, they were found to have 46 kg of heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine, as well as other drugs and 80 methadone tablets. The main suppliers of the illegal supply of drugs were Alovsat Alif oglu Hasanov, born in 1997, Ahmed Sabir oglu Babayev, born in 1984, and Elshad Ibrahim oglu Gadzhiev, born in 1985.

A criminal case has been opened on the facts. Each of the detainees was given a preventive measure in the form of arrest; the investigation continues.
