Azerbaijan handed over 2 internationally wanted persons to Uzbekistan

2 persons accused of fraudery were handed over to Uzbekistan, according to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, cooperation with the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the field of fighting against crime is successfully continued. The requests of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan to hand over Kaldarar Arsen Vasilyevich, a citizen of Ukraine, born in 1992, and Kayumov Abdurakhmon Abduvaliyevich, a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, born in 1980, for their prosecution was granted by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A.V.Kaldarar and A.A.Kayumov, who were accused of committing fraud in Uzbekistan and were declared interstate wanted, were identified and detained in Azerbaijan on February, 2024, and an arrest warrant was issued for them.

By the Convention on Legal Aid and Legal Relations in Civil, Family, and Criminal Cases dated 07.10.2002, the accused persons were decided to be extradited and they were handed over to the authorities of the Republic of Uzbekistan accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
