Police arrest suspect for premeditated murder

On May 23, around 21:00, the Goychay District Prosecutor’s Office received information about the death of Rza Akhmedov (born 1979) in the district from stab wounds, oxu.az reports with reference to the supervisory authority.

During the investigation, reasonable suspicions arose that the man was deliberately killed by Mehdi Mamedov (born 1999), stabbing him during a conflict that arose between them.

An investigation has been launched into this fact under Article 120.1 (premeditated murder) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

M. Mamedov was detained as a suspect in the case.
