Suspects of cultivating narcotic plants detained

Employees of the Yevlakh district police department carried out an operation against drug trafficking and the cultivation of drug-containing plants, oxu.az reports with reference to the Barda regional press service group of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, during the activities carried out on the basis of the received operational information, Jeyhun Mammadov was detained as a suspect. During an inspection of the area near his house, 93 hemp bushes grown by him with a total weight of more than 30 kg were discovered.

In addition, during the next operation, previously convicted Ruslan Mammadov and his relative Khalid Abdullayev, who were involved in drug trafficking, were detained. About 16 kg of heroin and marijuana were found in their possession. They stated that they were involved in drug trafficking by Iranian citizens.

Based on these facts, criminal cases have been initiated, and operational search activities are ongoing.
