Drug couriers detained in Baku

Nargiz Maharramova (born 1997) and Elman Akhmedov (born 1990), suspected of drug trafficking, were detained in the Garadag district of Baku, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the search, a total of 27 kg of marijuana and heroin enriched with psychotropic substances, as well as electronic scales, were found in the bag of Akhmedov, who works for one of the courier companies, and in the car where Maharramova was.

During the initial interrogation, the detainees admitted that, in collusion with Iranian citizens, they delivered drugs to various addresses in Baku.

Criminal cases have been initiated based on the facts, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen against the detained persons by a court decision.
