The activities of an organized crime group involved in drug smuggling from Iran prevented

The State Border Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan conducted a joint operation against an organized criminal group involved in drug smuggling from Iran for sale in the country, Report informs citing the State Border Service. On July 16, 2024, on the official territory of the Goradiz border detachment, a resident of the Gazakh region, Rasulov Kamil Sattar oglu (born 1984), was detained while attempting to smuggle 17 kg of marijuana into the country from Iran.

In cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rasulov’s accomplices, who acted with him as part of an organized crime group engaged in smuggling and drug trafficking, were identified and detained.

They are residents of the Garadagh district Iskenderov Elchin Aliaga oglu (born 1982), Iskenderov Gyulaga Aliaga oglu (born 1985), Saryev Taleh Babakerim oglu (born 1989) and a resident of the Gazakh region Rasulov Kamil Sattar oglu (1984 g.r.).
