A working group of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and banks is being created to combat cybercrime

A special working group to combat cybercrime will be formed in Azerbaijan, which will include employees of the Main Directorate for Combating Cybercrime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and local banks, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The corresponding decision was made at a working meeting organized jointly by the Main Directorate, the Central Bank and the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan. It is created in order to jointly combat cyber thefts, promptly respond to incidents and carry out preventive measures.

Speakers at the meeting spoke about the importance of strengthening mutual cooperation between law enforcement agencies, banking and financial organizations in order to timely prevent cyber theft and cyber fraud.
