Law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan have seized 31 kg of drugs from illegal circulation, Report informs citing the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Drugs detained members of an organized gang – Jeyhun Abbasguliyev and Rakhshan Mamedov.
They were found to be in possession of 31 kg of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances. It was established that the detainees were couriers for an Iranian citizen, whose identity is currently being established.
They took the drugs from a pre-agreed location in the Jalilabad region and planned to sell them to various addresses.
A criminal case has been opened on the fact, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen for the detainees.
