A suspect in the theft of doors and air conditioners worth 30,000 manats has been detained in Baku, Report informs citing the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

A resident of the village of Keshlya filed a police report about the theft of 34 doors, 16 air conditioners and building materials worth 30,000 manats from an apartment used as a warehouse. As a result of the activities carried out by the officers of the 23rd police department of the Nizami District Police Department, a suspect in the crime, 39-year-old Ali Aliyev, was detained. He was also found to have methamphetamine, a psychotropic substance purchased for personal use.

During another event, the police detained 44-year-old Parviz Allahverdiyev, who stole batteries from two VAZ cars in the Nizami District. His actions were recorded by CCTV cameras.

The investigation into the facts is ongoing.

More than 4 kg of marijuana seized

More than 4 kg of drugs were confiscated from a citizen in Barda, Report informs with reference to the Barda regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Thus, police officers detained a suspect in illegal drug trafficking, previously convicted Sabuhi Gasimov, who was found to have more than 4 kg of marijuana.

The detainee is also suspected of stealing from 7 private houses in the area.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact, and a preventive measure in the form of arrest has been chosen for S. Gasimov. The investigation is ongoing.

One person who was on the international wanted list by the National Central Bureau of Interpol in the Republic of Azerbaijan was extradited to Azerbaijan on November 2, 2024, Report informs citing the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.

Thus, Allahverdi Mammadov, accused of fraud, bribery, document forgery and organizing illegal migration (Articles 178.3.1, 29, 178.3.1, 320.1, 320.2, 32.4, 312.2, 29, 318-1.2.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan), who caused significant damage to a number of people, was found and arrested in Germany.

Based on the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the extradition of this person and the necessary documents submitted by the Ministry of Justice in accordance with international procedures, an agreement was reached, and A. Mammadov was delivered from Germany to Azerbaijan.
