More than nine thousand dollars were stolen from a car in Baku, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. A citizen who contacted the police reported the theft of 9,400 dollars from his Range Rover.

As a result of the activities carried out by the officers of the 25th police department of the Nizami district police department, a suspect, previously convicted of a similar crime, 45-year-old N. Jamilov, was identified and detained.

An investigation is underway into this fact.

A court hearing was held in the Baku Court of Appeal on the appeal against the sentence against Telli Adiyeva (born in 1971), accused of large-scale fraud by abusing the trust of citizens oxu.az reports that at the trial chaired by Judge Habil Mammadov, a decision was read out according to which the appeal was not satisfied.

T. Adiyeva was found guilty under Article 178.3.2 (fraud committed on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

The court reported that Telli Adiyeva, having previously conspired with her son Kamaladdin, committed fraud against his acquaintance, an employee of the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) Farhad Akhmedov, by giving him a false promise. They received 161,649 manat from F. Akhmedov, promising him assistance in buying and selling gold on international markets and making a profit.

Following the trial in the Baku Court of Grave Crimes, T. Adiyeva was sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment. The case against her son K. Adiyev was separated into separate proceedings.

Employees of the Guba district police department detained local residents Elshan Heydarov, Elman Askerov, Rovshan Gasimbekov and resident of the Shabran district Mirabtalyb Masimov during the activities to combat illegal drug trafficking, oxu.az reports with reference to the Guba regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During personal searches and searches of their houses, a total of 11 kg of marijuana, methamphetamine, opium, 50 methadone tablets and 30 pregabalin tablets were found and seized.

By the decision of the court, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen for these individuals.
