The Absheron District Court has completed the criminal investigation of Imran Asadov (hereinafter, the names and surnames are conditional) accused of fraud, oxu.az reports. According to the verdict, I. Asadov was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months of restriction of freedom with the use of an electronic bracelet.
According to the indictment, the defendant, posing as a reliable partner in trade relations, misled his acquaintance, the victim Galib Gabilov, director of ELN Company LLC. Asadov convinced Gabilov that he was selling food additives imported by the company, having partially paid for their cost.
Thus, between 2019 and 2021, Imran took possession of food additives and hygiene products worth 39,847 manats in total and, having sold the goods, appropriated the proceeds.
During the investigation, a preventive measure in the form of police supervision was chosen for I. Asadov.
