The charges against the Karabakh separatists have been revealed, this was noted in the information released by the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the referral of the criminal case of Karabakh separatists detained in Baku to court, APA reports.

Based on the collected reliable evidence, 15 people – Ghukasyan (Ghukasyan) Arkadi Arshavir (Arshavirovich), Harutyunyan Arayik Vladimiri (Vladimirovich), Sahakyan Bako Sahaki, Ishkhanyan Davit Ruben, Babayan Davit Klim (Klimovich), Mnatsakanyan Lyova Henrikh, Manukyan Davit Azat, Martirosyan Garik Grigor, Pashayan Melikset Vladimir, Allahverdiyan Davit Nelson, Stepanyan Gurgen Homerosi, Balayan Levon Romik, Babayan Madat Arakeli (Arakelovich), Beglaryan Vasili Ivan and Ghazaryan Erik Robert, who were accused of crimes committed by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and illegal armed formations in a total of 2548 episodes, were charged with the following offenses: 100 (planning, preparing, initiating and waging an aggressive war), 102 (attacking persons or organizations enjoying international protection), 103 (genocide), 105 (extermination of population), 106 (slavery), 107 (deportation or forcible transfer of population), 109 (persecution), 110 (enforced disappearance of persons), 112 (deprivation of liberty contrary to international law), 113 (torture), 114 (mercenary), 115 (violation of the laws and customs of war), 116 (violation of international humanitarian law in armed conflict), 118 (military robbery), 120 (wilful killing), 192 (illegal entrepreneurship), 214 (terrorism), 214-1 (financing of terrorism), 218 (creation of a criminal association (organization)), 228 (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale of weapons, their components, ammunition, explosives and devices, storage, transportation and transportation), 270-1 (acts threatening aviation safety), 277 (assassination of a state official or public figure), 278 (forcible seizure and retention of power, forcible change of the constitutional structure of the state), 279 (creation of armed formations and groups not provided for by law) and other articles, each of whom was re-involved as a defendant, and their rights to defense, use of the language they know, and other procedural rights were ensured.

Law enforcement agencies have detained two young people in Baku suspected of embezzling citizens’ money through fake yacht rental ads on social networks, Report informs citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The detainees are 23-year-old Nihat Azadov and Shamama Makhmudova. The perpetrators created numerous fake pages on social networks where they claimed to provide yacht rental services in the Baku Bay.

The detainees appropriated various amounts of money from several citizens under the guise of prepayment for rent, and then blocked them.

The investigation into the illegal actions of the detainees continues at the 22nd police station of the Nasimi District Police Department.

The police are calling on citizens who suffered from the actions of Azadov and Makhmudova to report to law enforcement agencies.

The police received information about the theft of lottery tickets worth 10,000 manat on the night of December 13 from a Hyundai car in the Khatai district, oxu.az reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the activities carried out by the officers of the 35th police department of the Khatai district police department, suspects in the theft, 39-year-old M. Agayev and 34-year-old I. Gaibov, were detained.

An investigation is underway into this fact.

The trial on the appeal against the verdict against French citizen Clerk Tego Hugo, who secretly entered the depot of the Baku metro and painted several cars, has ended, oxu.az reports. The accused spoke at the trial in the Baku Court of Appeal chaired by Judge Ibrahim Ibrahimli. He noted that he does not know the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AR), but pleads guilty.

The accused informed the participants in the trial that he addressed a letter to the head of state with a request for pardon: “I sent a letter with a request for pardon to the President of the AR, as well as to the leader of France. I understand my guilt, I ask the court to pardon me, or, as in the case of my comrades, to replace the sentence with a fine.”

Then the court retired to deliberate. He did not satisfy the appeal and left the verdict of the court of first instance unchanged.

Earlier, the Narimanov District Court sentenced a French citizen to 3 years in prison. His accomplices, De-Saint Guent Ismael and Khan Paul, were fined 6,800 manats each. The damage they caused to the metro was fully compensated.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on the night of March 30, 2024, foreigners illegally entered the depot of the Baku Metro Closed Joint-Stock Company and intentionally damaged state property.

The criminal case was investigated under the relevant article of the Criminal Code. Clerk Tego Hugo was arrested for three months by a court decision. Non-arrest measures were chosen for the other defendants.
