A criminal case has been opened against officials in Azerbaijan for changing their specialty and forging certificates for plastic surgery. As reported by APA, this is stated in a joint information of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Health.

The officials suspected of receiving bribes in exchange for creating conditions for illegal medical activities were exposed.

A preventive measure in the form of house arrest was chosen against the head of the Department of Human Resources, Science and Education of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan Rustamova Saida.

It is reported that, acting in collusion with the former head of the accreditation department of the Center for Public Health and Reforms of the Ministry Jabbarova Latafat and other members of the criminal network, she took bribes for creating conditions for illegal medical activities.

In fact, S. Rustamova and L. Jabbarova were charged under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, based on the petition of the investigative body and the submission of the prosecutor who is carrying out procedural management of the preliminary investigation, by decision of the Binagadi District Court, measures of restraint in the form of house arrest and removal from office were chosen against them.

Operational and investigative measures on the criminal case are ongoing.

A suspect of fraud amounting to over 26,000 manats has been detained in Baku, oxu.az reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition, the police received information about the theft of 1,100 manats from one of the houses in the Nasimi district.

As a result of the activities carried out by the officers of the 19th police department of the Nasimi district police department, previously convicted I. Muslumlu, suspected of committing theft, was detained.

Also, in the territory of the Nasimi district, Kh. Mammadli and A. Huseynova, suspected of embezzling funds by fraud in the total amount of 26,590 manats, were detained.

An investigation is underway into these facts.
