
Persons who tried to pick up drugs dropped from Iranian territory using an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) have been detained. As Report informs, the information was disseminated by the State Border Service (SBS).
Thanks to the vigilance of the border patrol, two unknown persons driving a car were spotted near the border line on the service territory of the Lankaran border detachment of the Border Troops Command of the SBS.
As a result of the measures taken, the movement of the vehicle was restricted, and residents of the village of Saray in the Absheron district Gurbanov Ilgar Nukhbala oglu (born in 2000) and Magerramov Nemat Mollagha oglu (born in 1985) were detained as suspects.
During the inspection of the vehicle, a total of 6 kg 354 g of marijuana were found and seized. The detainees admitted that they had come to pick up drugs dropped from Iranian territory using a UAV.
Investigative measures on the fact are ongoing.
