The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Azerbaijan has published statistics on crimes and incidents over the past 24 hours, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the press service of the department. On March 26, 42 registered crimes were solved in the country, as well as six previously committed crimes. A total of 31 people were detained, including 9 debtors.
Employees of the internal affairs bodies have identified 22 cases related to illegal drug trafficking, and 6 cases related to the seizure and discovery of illegally stored weapons and ammunition. 42 people were detained on suspicion of committing crimes. 16 people who left their places of residence and were wanted as missing were found.
Over the past 24 hours, police officers found and seized 1 machine gun, 23 grenades, 32 fuses and two pistols in the capital and various regions of the republic.
