A case of robbery has been registered in the Nasimi district of Baku. Unknown persons, having used physical violence against a 41-year-old resident of the capital, demanded money from him. As reported by Oxu.Az, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

As a result of the activities carried out by the officers of the 19th department of the Nasimi district police department, suspects in committing robbery, previously convicted 28-year-old H. Tairov and 23-year-old K. Dervishov, were detained.

During the investigation, it was revealed that they also used physical violence against another 42-year-old citizen and stole his mobile phone and bank card.

An investigation is underway into these facts.

State Border Service (SBS) officers prevented an attempt to smuggle a large consignment of drugs from Iran to Azerbaijan, Report informs citing the SBS. The Shamkir district police department received information that three passengers of a Mercedes, having attacked the driver, seized the vehicle, as well as foreign currency in the amount equivalent to 332,800 manats, Oxu.Az reports with reference to the Ganja regional group of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Thus, police officers identified and detained the suspects in the robbery – 38-year-old Israpil Baljanov, 39-year-old Israfil Tagiyev and 33-year-old Rasim Jafarov.

A criminal case was initiated on this fact, the court decided to choose a preventive measure in the form of arrest for the suspects.
