Businessman Nizami Piriyev arrested

Azerbaijani businessman Nizami Piriyev has been sentenced to 4-month imprisonment under the judgment of Narimanov district court.  

 He is charged with fraud and embezzlement of public property.

 Nizami Piriyev is the co-founder of the company PNN Group, the main assets of which are owned by the enterprise AzMeCo that operates in the petrochemical industry and the production of methanol.

 PNN Group is a partner of the brands De Beers and Hamley’s. Nizami Piriyev also opened restaurants of KFC network in Azerbaijan.

 The co-owner of PNN Group is also his son Nasib Piriyev.
