The Yunus’ sentenced to in prison

Baku Court of Grave Crimes announced the verdict against Leila and Arif Yunus, haqqin.az reports.

According to the verdict, Leyla Yunus was sentenced to 8.5 years in prison, and her husband – to 7 years with confiscation of property.

Arif Yunus was found guilty under article 178.3.2 (fraud on a large scale) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

Leyla Yunus was convicted under articles 178.3.2 (fraud on a large scale), 192.2.2 (illegal entrepreneurship), 213.2.2 (tax evasion), 320.1 and 320.2 (forgery) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.

Charge under Article 274 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan (treason) against the couple is to be tried separately.
